Seasoned Baby Greens

seasoned baby greensThe list that came with my box said I was getting “Baby Spinach or Salad Mix,” so I had planned to use it as lettuce. However, when I opened the bag, the greens were too tough to eat raw. It looked like a mixture of chard and spinach. I decided to cook it up as a side dish for salmon.

Seasoned Baby Greens

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ small onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Montreal Steak Seasoning (I might use a bit more next time)
  • 2 tablespoons white wine
  • ½ cup water
  • 8 cups greens, course chopped
  1. Heat oil in large skillet. Add onions and saute for 2 minutes.
  2. Add remaining ingredients to pan. Cook down until greens are tender.

My next box looks like fun; I’m looking forward to my next creations.
